2009-2010 scholarship

Each year, the Austin Alumnae Chapter funds a $1,000 scholarship to benefit an Austin-area collegian. This year's scholarship was awarded to Ashley Harrison, Beta Eta- Univ. of Texas. Ashley is a junior majoring in Political Communication and Middle Eastern Studies with a minor in Arabic. In preparation for a career as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, Ashley is studying abroad in Egypt and Syria. She is an outstanding young woman with excellent grades who is active in Delta Gamma and participates in various campus and community activites. We wish Ashley all the best!

The Delta Gamma Foundation recognized the Austin Alumnae Chapter for our outstanding support of the Foundation and dedication to the philanthropic goals and ideals of Delta Gamma. The chapter placed ninth in number of Service for Sight hours completed in 2008-2009.

Delta Gamma's 63rd Biennial Convention was held June 18-22, 2008, in Palm Desert, California. Delegates from the Austin Alumnae chapter represented us well, bringing home several prestigious awards.

Alumnae Excellence Award
Presented to alumnae chapters that are outstanding in all areas of endeavor and exemplify the living application of the Delta Gamma Philosophy.

Collumnae Award
Regional Winner and National Runner-up
